Winter vibes

The crunch of fresh snow underfoot, clear mountain air in your lungs and views of the Dolomites. This snowshoe hike is breathtakingly beautiful – it sums up exactly why we love South Tyrol in winter.

Snowshoe bliss

This is one of our favourite snowshoe tours for clearing the head. Starting at Gasthof Tulper, you delve deeper and deeper into the silent winter wonderland. You pass snow-covered alpine meadows and exposed hillsides until everything suddenly opens up at the Pianer Kreuz. Open countryside. Light. Peace. And afterwards? Warm up over a hot drink and a tasty bite to eat. Bliss!

Good to know

The tour starts at the Gasthof Tulper car park. From there, it follows the old lift track to the snow-covered Rodenecker-Lüsner Alm. The trail continues to the Pianer Kreuz, a quiet viewpoint with plenty of space to enjoy a short break. We recommend stopping for refreshments at the Roner Alm mountain hut. Return at a leisurely pace via Fischlor and Kompfoss to the starting point.
Duration: approx. 2.5 hours, length: approx. 7.5 km, altitude difference: approx. 350 m, difficulty: easy–medium.
